“Fight the Flu Fair” at Camden Health Clinic on Nov. 18
CAMDEN — The Department of Family Medicine and students from the UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine will provide free flu vaccinations on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Camden Saturday Health Clinic, 538 Broadway, in Camden. A limited supply of flu vaccine will be available that day on a first come/first served basis to those who are considered to be at high risk for influenza-related complications, including:
· Children four to five years old
· Children over 5 years who have chronic medical conditions
· Pregnant women
· Individuals older than 50 years
· Anyone with certain chronic medical conditions
· Individuals who live with or care for persons at high risk
· Health-care workers
The Camden Health Clinic, located in the Camden OEO Building, is a collaborative effort of the students at the UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine, the medical school’s Department of Family Medicine and the UMDNJ-School of Nursing. The clinic provides free medical care to Camden area residents on Mondays and Saturdays.
