At UMDNJ-School of Public Health
Convocation Ceremony Honors National Health Leader
Dr. Kenneth Olden, director of the National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences will deliver the keynote address to the Class
of 2004 at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
(UMDNJ)-School of Public Health convocation ceremony, on Monday,
May 24, at 7 p.m., at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick.
Dr. Olden is directing the Environmental Genome Project, which
studies the relationship among genetics, environmental factors
and diseases, and a companion study, which seeks the environmental
and genetic clues to breast cancer. He will be presented the Senator
Frank R. Lautenberg Distinguished Lecturer in Public Health Award
following his presentation.
The UMDNJ-School of Public Health convocation ceremony celebrates
the outstanding achievements in academics, clinical studies and
community service among this year 's graduates and honors distinguished
faculty at the school.
The commencement ceremony for the
Class of 2004, the largest in the University's history, will take
place on Tuesday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Sovereign Bank
Arena in Trenton.
